Who We Are

What Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it:

• Connect Card — name, email address, phone number (optional), and areas of interest when you submit our online connect form.
• Prayer Requests — your name (optional) and the text of your prayer request when you submit through our Prayer page.
• AI Chat — messages you send through the website chatbot are processed by our AI provider (Google Gemini). We apply automated, best-effort filters that detect and remove common personal identifiers (email addresses, phone numbers, and explicit name introductions) before transmission. These filters may not catch all personal information — please avoid sharing sensitive personal details in chat. Sessions expire after 30 minutes and are not permanently stored.
• Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) are retained for security and performance purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• Connect Card submissions are used solely to follow up with you about your visit or stated interests. We will not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
• Prayer requests marked private are accessible only to church pastoral staff. Requests marked public may be shared on our internal prayer wall.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Connect card and prayer request data is retained in our secure church database for pastoral care and follow-up purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing pccadmin@hcchome.org.

Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — web hosting, content delivery, and security. Cloudflare may log network-level data per their own privacy policy.
• Google Gemini — powers our AI chatbot. Google does not use API messages to train its models. See Google Gemini API Terms.
• Resend — used to deliver email notifications of form submissions to our staff. Your submitted information is included in those emails.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights (Texas Residents)

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), Texas residents have rights including the right to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about them. To exercise these rights, contact us at pccadmin@hcchome.org. We will respond within 45 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
