About Us

Our Story

Pearland Chinese Church is a campus of Houston Chinese Church (HCC), located in the Pearland suburb of Greater Houston. We are a dynamic, multicultural Christian community that welcomes people from all backgrounds.

The church was established to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God and love people, committed to uplifting worship, Bible-centered teaching, mutual care, the use of spiritual gifts in service, and gospel-centered local and global mission.

Mission & Beliefs

Mission Statement

Houston Chinese Church was established to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God and love people.

To this end, we are committed to:

  • Exalting God in worship
  • Bible-centered teaching
  • Caring for one another
  • Serving through spiritual gifts
  • Gospel-centered local and global mission

We believe

God is the self-existent Creator of all things and humanity — the one triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, shedding His blood for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven as the mediator between God and humanity.

The Holy Spirit is the Comforter of believers. He convicts the world of sin, dwells with believers forever, and guides them into truth and holiness.

The entire Bible — all 66 books — is God-breathed, completely without error, unchanging, and the sole rule of faith and life for Christians.

Humanity is created in God's image but fallen through sin. We must trust in Jesus to be saved, forgiven of sin, and born again by the Holy Spirit to enter God's kingdom.

Christ is the head of the Church. The Church is Christ's body — God's household — comprising all born-again believers.

Jesus Christ will return to establish His eternal kingdom. All people will be resurrected: believers will dwell with God forever; those who reject Him will face eternal separation.

Core Values

All ministries of Houston Chinese Church are guided by these twelve core values. By God's grace, we seek to live these out in our individual lives and as a community, to glorify His name and benefit His church.

1

Christ First

We acknowledge Christ as the head of our church.

2

Biblical Fidelity

We teach God's Word with soundness and authority to help every believer find Christ and live as His disciple.

3

Authentic Worship

We seek God to be central in our personal lives, our community, and our multi-faceted worship.

4

Grace-Motivated

Because God fully accepts and forgives us through Christ, we encourage one another from love and gratitude, not guilt or obligation.

5

Human Dignity

Every person bears the image of God. We ensure everyone who comes to our community feels respected and treated with dignity.

6

Cultural Sensitivity

We adapt our approach to serve the diverse people in our congregation and community.

7

Relational Focus

We emphasize healthy relationships among believers, prioritizing fellowship and small groups as pathways for care, friendship, and life-sharing.

8

Family Affirmation

We strengthen family units and support children, youth, and singles in our community.

9

Mobilized Community

We expect every believer to actively use the spiritual gifts God has given them.

10

Evangelistic Lifestyle

We intentionally encourage members to be salt and light and use evangelistic tools to share the gospel with those around them.

11

Mission Heart

We expand our worldview through prayer and spreading the gospel to all parts of the world.

12

Holistic Ministry

We seek to serve the spiritual and physical needs of our community as fully as we are able.
